In the outback

Hey folks, I'm here and what a trip it has been. From the time my dad dropped me off at the airport in MPLS it took over 30 hours to arrive in Woomelang. The flight from LA to Sydney was over 15 hours, and no matter what it knocks you out for the next couple of days. I think the worst part was the last four hours that were spent in a car driving from Melbourne to Woomelang. Let's just say Australia doesn't spend a lot of their tax dollars on roads. Thankfully the last few kilometers are paved, and not gravel as the roads could be quite treacherous. Sunday, Heidi and I went out to the farm of a couple she knows through work for a BBQ. If I were to imagine an Australian BBQ this would have been it. We drove out into the bush, onto Travis and Nat's property where we parked our ute on their paddock, where they had a nice fire burning. Travis built his own grill and used the wood coals to heat the surface. It was great and I will definitely make a grill like this when I return to the states. After admiring his grill, we snacked on pumpkin (squash), sweet potatoes, regular potatoes, onions, sausages, bread and cole slaw. It was a great barbie!!!! No shrimp unfortunately!!!!! My camera has gone MIA and hopefully turns up soon so I can start posting photos. Thank you all for reading, God bless and G'day.

Thanks for the first update, Nate.
I hope your camera turns up soon because my mind is going wild. I need some visual proof of what is going on. Heck, you know me and my mind, you would probably prefer that to the real thing anyway!
Take care,
Em
